OVERVIEW
Discover the Nyerere (Selous) and Mikumi National Parks on this safari focused on nature experiences with a boat safari, a walking safari, a game drive, and travelling through or going to nearby villages.
The best untouched virgin bush is found at Nyerere National Park (formerly known as Selous Game Reserve), which is located far from popular tourist destinations. It is uninhabited and has largely escaped human intrusion.
Elephants, Buffalo, Hippo, Crocodiles, and rare African Wild Dogs are among the animals discovered. A lion pride, bush buck, impala, warthogs, ostriches, giraffes, baboons, zebras, hyenas, kudus, rare sable antelopes, and leopards are among the animals that are frequently spotted. More than 400 species of birds, including the Fish eagle, Kingfisher, Secretary bird, Sunbird, Hammer kop, Red & Yellow bill stork, Open bill stork, Weavers, Water birds, Marabou stork, and vultures, among others.
The Mkata Floodplain, known as “The Mini Serengeti” and the beloved focal point of Mikumi, is frequently compared to the more well-known Serengeti Plains because of its expansive vistas and profusion of species. Elephants, giraffes, zebras, antelopes, wildebeest, elands, crocodiles, hippopotamuses, and baboons are frequently spotted creatures. Over 300 species of birds, including saddle-billed storks, hammerkops, malachite kingfishers, lilac-breasted rollers, yellow-throated long-clawed birds, battler eagle Another feature is the Hippo Pools, where visitors can get up close to the hippos while they wallowing and snort.

DAY 01; DAR ES SALAAM TO SELOUS GAME RESERVE
Morning pick up from the hotel/airport and drive to Selous game reserve 5 hours with lunches at a restaurant in Kibiti, take a short break then proceed with the drive, arrive in the late afternoon and check-in at the camp, then leave for evening boat drive at Rufiji river. Return to the camp for dinner and overnight at Selous Kinga Lodge (FB)
DAY 02; SELOUS GAME RESERVE
After breakfast in the morning with your packed lunches enjoy full day game inside the game reserve, great animal sightings including all the great favourites lion, elephant, giraffe, buffalo, zebra and all the other major species like hunting wild dogs and birds take your lunches in the afternoon with the short break then proceed with the game drive until evening return to the camp for dinner and overnight at Selous Kinga Lodge (FB)
DAY 03; SELOUS TO MIKUMI NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast with your lunch boxes drive to Mikumi National Park 6 hours driving, arrive late afternoon/evening with an en-route game drive in Mikumi national park you will able to see zebras, impala, giraffe and elephants and dinner overnight at Camp Bastian (FB)
DAY 04; FULL DAY GAME DRIVE IN MIKUMI NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast with packed lunches drive for a full day game drive in Mikumi national park, during the evening return to the lodge for dinner and overnight at Mikumi resort. When you are in Mikumi you will be able to see a wide variety of bird species, zebras, hippos, hartebeest, wildebeest, impala, warthog, eland antelope, giraffe, buffalo and elephants. DAY 05; MIKUMI TO DAR ES SALAAM
After breakfast from the lodge with packed lunches enjoy en-route game drive in Mikumi before depart to Dar es Salaam in which you will arrive late afternoon or evening drop off at the airport/ Hotel or Ferry
