Karatu
Travellers heading for the Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater will pass through the town of Karatu in the green hills of Tanzania’s northern highlands. Presided over by the towering Ol Deani Volcano, this small, colourful town serves as a popular overnight stop for visitors exploring the area’s many game parks. The town offers a variety of activities including browsing the bustling marketplace, sampling beer at a local brewery, visiting a traditional homestead, or taking a guided walk through the Ngorongoro Forest in search of waterfalls and caves. Whether you are looking for cultural tours, hiking and biking opportunities, a chance to enjoy an authentic rural Tanzania experience, or simply a break between safari game drives, this underrated town has plenty to offer.
Tarangire National Park
Tarangire National Park, situated within Tanzania’s spectacular Manyara Region, is an awe-inspiring national park comprising of granite ridges, river valleys, mixed vegetative landscapes, and free-roaming wildlife. During the annual dry season, the Tarangire River is a magnet for thirsty wildlife. Large herds of elephants and migratory wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, impala, gazelle, hartebeest and eland gather and not surprisingly the predators follow. With lion being among the most commonly spotted animal, it is a rare day that a visitor does not spot this majestic animal prowling or grazing. Tarangire is also the one place in Tanzania where dry-country antelope such as oryx and gerenuk are seen regularly. This expansive area is also known for its spectacular baobab trees, its breathtaking views of the Masaai Steppe and the wondrous mountains to the south.

Arusha Airport – Tarangire 2h. transfer
Program: Our driver guide will pick you at Arusha Airport and drive to Tarangire Park for the game drive with pic-nic lunch.

Tarangire is the river crossing Tarangire National Park, the park is famous for big herds of elephants, the huge
baobab trees and the high number of predators. There is a lot to see and explore here.
Overnight: Farm of Dreams Lodge
Farm of Dream Lodge is home to twelve villages with 48 double rooms and superior rooms built in one of the best spots in the heart of this infamous town of Karatu on the western south slopes of Ngorongoro Crater at the 1,400
feet above sea level; the lodge sits in a garden of flowers and vegetables. The property offers spectacular sweeping
views of the hills and close distant to the Ngorongoro Crater, Lake Eyasi, Lake Manyara and Tarangire National Park.

Serengeti National Park
The Serengeti, together with Kenya’s Masai Mara Game Park, constitute Africa’s most famous wildlife park, spread over the enthralling landscapes of northern Tanzania. This is a precious ecosystem, supporting the annual wildebeest migration through the Serengeti and the Masai Mara. The largest mass movement of land mammals on the planet involves more than a million animals following the rains, including more than 1.5 million white-bearded wildebeest and 250 000 zebras. Prides of lions, as well as groups of elephants, giraffes, gazelles, and eland, roam among the photogenic vast grass plains between weird-and-wonderful-looking acacia trees. Aside from traditional vehicle safaris, hot-air ballooning over the Serengeti plains and horse-riding safaris are on offer.
Central Serengeti
Situated in the heart of Tanzania, the Central Serengeti encompasses the world-famous Seronera Valley which is known for its prime wildlife-viewing opportunities. This picture-perfect landscape is characterised by endless stretches of savannah-covered open plains interspersed by rocky outcrops of granite and scattered with acacia woodlands and covered in a network of rivers and streams. The Central Serengeti forms part of the great wildebeest and zebra migration and provides an ideal habitat for a variety of wildlife such as giraffe, impala, waterbuck, hippo, elephant, buffalo, lion, leopard, hyena, jackal, serval and much more. Popular activities include: game viewing, cultural tours, horse riding safaris, and hot air ballooning over the spectacularly scenic terrain.
Day Itinerary
Karatu – Ngorongoro – Serengeti 3 hours transfer.
Program: After breakfast, we leave Karatu village and enter Ngorongoro Conservation Area. We proceed crossing
Ngorongoro Highlands until Serengeti gate, here we start the game drive for this day. Activities: game drive.
Serengeti Park is the most famous park of all of Africa, with more than 15, 000 square kilometers of savannah full of lions, leopards, cheetahs, giraffes, elephants and many other wild animals.
Overnight: Kon Tiki Serengeti Camp
With an idyllic location in the middle of the wilderness, Kon Tiki Serengeti Camp rests in Central Serengeti, 30 min drive from Seronera airstrip. The camp is situated near the mighty Orangi river, which means wildlife walk through the camp frequently. Designed to be a haven of luxury and relaxation, each of the six spacious tents has a king-size bed or two single beds, a comfortable sitting area, and an en-suite bathroom with hot and cold running water. The camp offers dining services for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks in the communal dining area. There is also a cosy lounge and bar. Wi-Fi is available to guests.

Northern Serengeti
Located between the Central Serengeti and Kenya’s Masai Mara National Reserve to the north, the Northern Serengeti is a remote African wildlife wonderland. The vast, rolling savannah of the Northern Serengeti, is known as the hub of the great migration. The landscape is characterised by vast stretches of savannah interspersed with acacia trees and riverine woodlands. Wildlife can be seen along the banks of the Mara River and visitors can view the annual spectacle of the half a million migrating wildebeest. Commonly spotted wildlife include: a multitude of plains game such as buffalo, zebra, gazelles, impala, giraffe as well as lion and leopard. Visitors can look forward to bird watching, hot air ballooning, game safaris and guided bush walks.

Serengeti Central – Serengeti North 2.5 hours with en-route game drive.
Program: After breakfast, we proceed to move to northern Serengeti to Lobo, Bologonya and Mara regions looking for the Great Migration.
Activities: game drive.
In Lobo, Bologonya and Mara regions in North Serengeti, we can spot the Great Migration during summer (July to
October), the herds move north and aggregate before crossing the Mara River full of big crocodiles.
Overnight: Tanzania Bush Camps Mara River Camp
The Tanzania Bush Camps Mara River Mobile Camp operates from July to October each year in the Northern Serengeti, home to some of the most abundant wildlife populations in the world. Guests are accommodated in eight spacious modern tents with private bathrooms and verandahs on both sides to allow for cooling breezes to pass through.
Common areas include a separate large dining/lounge tent and a well-stocked bar serving assorted alcoholic beverages. Other facilities include a modern kitchen tent, a boutique with souvenirs and safari essentials, an in-tent service for snacks and beverages, solar power and a backup generator for electricity, safety deposit facilities, and laundry services. Ngorongoro Crater

It is famed as one of Tanzania’s best tourist attractions offering visitors an array of wonderful activities including excellent bird watching, trekking, wildlife viewing, mountain biking and visiting a local Maasai village.
